Send the failed slip report

This page is for the person holding the fail pack: facilities, a builder, a duty holder, or the contractor who has been told to “get it fixed”. We start from the AS 4663 / wet-pendulum PDF you already paid for. We do not book a pendulum to begin, and we will not invent a path from “the kitchen failed” on a phone call.

What to attach from the fail pack

The file the tester issued. One PDF if you have it — not a phone photo of a single results table if the report is sitting in your inbox. We need the tester’s name and date, the area description, the British Pendulum Number or P class, the slider used if it is shown, and any note that names the handbook or NCC target. If the PDF covers more than one room, say which result is the close-out.

Optional photographs help only as context: the traffic path when it is wet, a close-up of the surface, and any film, polish, or coating you can see. They do not replace the report. Add the site address, the area type, and a deadline if an auditor, insurer, or opening date is waiting. What comes back after we read it

A written rectification opinion that names the gap between the in-situ class and the HB 198 or NCC class for that area. A scope of works written so you can print it or forward it to another contractor for a second quote. A Premrest quote to carry out those works nationally if you want us — you are not obliged to. If you choose us, we do the works and can arrange a retest. That record describes what was done. It is not a compliance certificate, and it is not a pass.

National coverage means we quote and attend from the address on the form. We will not tell you we only cover one coast. We are not a referral broker: the take-away scope is how the relationship stays honest, not a way to send you somewhere else.

What this page will not promise

No pass guarantee. No claim that a treatment produces P5 on a timetable. No certificate language. If the report is thin, the photos contradict it, or the area is not one we will quote, we will say so instead of filling the gap with hope.
